The Wakefield Santa is leaving poorly written poems on the town’s bulletin board and Sheriff Hamilton Wakefield is bound and determined to protect the lovely Janie’s reputation when Santa seems determined to shred her reputation to shreds.  Just because he and Janie set sparks off of each other, it didn’t mean that he wasn’t aware of her as a woman, and his instincts were to keep her close to him so that she would be safe.
Ham threatens to jail Santa when he found him, but Santa seemed to know where he was and when he was sleeping.  Janie doesn’t mind Ham’s attention and confesses to him that he really did matter to her, even when he put her directly over his knee for losing her temper in a physical way!
With the shocking revelation that Janie does love him, Ham is even more determined to reveal the identity of the Wakefield Santa and stop his mean-spirited poems.

WORKING ON...

I finished all of my Christmas writing. I wish I could say the same for decorating the house, but, it will be finished tomorrow.  I also started another western for Bethany's Woodshed which will start sometime in January, I imagine. Or sooner if another story ends.  All is well and good on that score. My heroine is a bit older than the norm. In fact, she has three adult sons, and I think they will be finding romance too.  The hero has never been married, but he is for sure and certain that Val Masters needs a man to take care of her, protect her, tame her impulsive and wild manner, and yes, spank her cute little butt when she needs it, and in his opinion, she's needed one every moment since he met her. I'm going to love this guy.

Now for another story I have about two sentences written for--The Cursed Bed and Breakfast. Doesn't that title just make you all shivery with excitement? It does me. Chloe is a reporter, looking for a big story.  It is rumored that several women have disappeared from the bed and breakfast over the years. Chloe is there to spend her vacation, but also to research the stories, and write an article that will get her noticed. However, what she doesn't plan is that she will become a part of the story.  This story is so new in the writing process that the hero doesn't have a last name quite yet.  Time to get busy.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

LOST STORY

I cannot believe I have lost a story, but I have. I had a computer crash about three years ago, and I lost a lot of my older work. This story is a Christmas story, and I really want to find it and reread it. The worst part, I cannot recall the name!!! LOL But, this isn't so surprising since I've written so many stories since the one I cannot find. Oh well, I know it is out there somewhere. I will find it.

I intended to write today, but my hubby has been in a talky mood, and he does come first. He will be gone most of tomorrow, and then again on Monday. I will be able to get a lot done on a new story I am working on for Bethany's Woodshed.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.. I thought about baking some Christmas cookies, but they wouldn't last until Christmas if Lar knows they are in the freezer. lol

WELCOME TO MY BRAND NEW BLOG

Welcome to my brand new blog! Thank you for coming to check it out, I have decided to start a blog to inform my readers when new books are coming out on Blushing Books, and when new stories are running on Bethany's Woodshed. And, I am sure I'll talk about new releases to Amazon, too.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Joannie Kay (And for those of you who are, but just want to read and check for typos...); I have many pen names, and I need each and every one! Each pen name has her own specialty, and if I write as Dort Wesley, then the book is going to be a bit more sexy, and is more than likely a western. Joanne Locker writes the dangerous stories, Amity Maree writes contemporary mysteries, and it goes on. In all, there are thirteen different pen names, even though some do not get used too often.

Presently, I have several stories coming up for release on Blushing Books. I will let you know when that occurs.  On Bethany's Woodshed, I currently have a Christmas Story running weekly. The title is: The Christmas Project.  Bobby is the heroine with a sassy temper and a big heart. Lawson Carter is a retired U.S, Marshal who buys the ranch next door, and his first run in with Bobby earned her a spanking, which guaranteed that the next time she set eyes on him she shot the hat right off his head! Bet you all can guess what happened then? So, what does that have to do with Christmas?? Well, RJ, Bobby's Daddy, insists that she work on a project for Christmas with Law since he is new to the area, and needs help trying to figure out how to offer help to someone who needs a hand. This does get a bit complicated because someone is trying to kill Law!  I enjoyed writing this story, and I hope you will enjoy reading it.

'Tis the Season, and if you love Christmas stories as much as I do, there are quite a few Joannie Kay Christmas stories featured on Blushing Books.  One of them is called Joannie Kay Christmas Anthology, and it contains 10  short stories. My favorite is The Ugly Christmas Sweater. It was based on a true event that took place back when I was a hair stylist; however, I gave it my special touch while imagining this certain client over her husband's knee getting a sound spanking. It didn't really happen that way, but it should have!

Have a wonderful weekend!
